ABOUT THE TASTING MENU
The menu changes every week or even through the day. Johan likes to improvise, so there might be a surprise or two during your dining experience.
PRICE TASTING MENU (8-10 dishes)
including wine & beverage: 2400 SEK/person
including non-alcoholic beverages: 2100 SEK/person

Scallop glazed in beetroot with herbs and grated horseradish
Steak Tartare mixed with yunanese chili paste accompanied by oysters
Turbot confit with grilled papaya salad and crispy pig’s foot
Miso bbq squab with squab leg rilette and white raddish salad
Thai Crème Brûlée
Strawberries in rice wine with passion fruit and deep-fried mint leaves
We are more than willing to assist you in making special arrangements, just let us know when you make your reservation.
We do not customize the menu for milk protein intolerance, vegetarians and vegans. This is due to the scope of the menu and all the work behind it. We take other allergies into account as far as we can as long as we know this well in advance of the visit.
The booking is confirmed by payment of the menu in advance, SEK 1200 per person, 1-4 weeks (depending on the size of the party) before the visit. Payment link is sent from us to the booking manager.
CHAMBRE SEPARÉ BECOMES MAISON SEPARÉ
Do you want the place for yourself? Booking Maison Separée costs SEK 55,000 no matter how many you are. You pay a unit price 4 weeks in advance. This money will not be refunded after the due date. If we book, you will of course get the full amount back. It includes a tasting menu and beverage packages as well as room rental. All extra orders in addition to this are paid on site.
After working at the restaurants Spring, Berns Asiatiska and Den Gyldene Freden, Johan Lindqvist decided to start a restaurant at home. Simply because he wanted to return to what he loves most; the raw produce, the craftsmanship and the interaction with the dining guests.
The name Villa Brännugnen (the furnace) derives from the label of the neighbourhood Brännugnen; where the house is located. Today, Johan is the only one burning the wood, smoking and grilling.
What are we doing in these post covid times? We designed our own smaller tables! We always have hand sanitizer easily available. All parties have their own towel in our guest toilet. Of course, we ask all guests take responsibility and do not come if they feel unwell. You can also book the whole restaurant for your own company if you want, chambre separée.
About Johan Lindqvist
Johan has been working in the midst of Stockholm's gastronomical and gourmet world.
More than 20 years ago, he co-founded Stockholm's first pure noodle style restaurant at Hötorget. He instigated and ran the high end restaurant Spring; which led to all the critics cheering and it became a culinary destination for the most discerning. Consecutively he started Berns Asiatiska Restaurantand became deputy CEO of the entire entertainment establishment Berns. The latest position for Johan was as CEO of the distinguished and venerable restaurantDen Gyldene Fredenincluding the culinary destination Culturin The Old Town of Stockholm.
